As a London-based Asian wedding videographer, I get the privilege of capturing love stories that are steeped in culture, tradition, and joy. Bhumi and Anish’s wedding at the breathtaking Oatlands Park Hotel in Surrey was one of those unforgettable days that had everything – laughter, music, vibrant energy, and heartfelt moments.

Pre-Wedding Vibes and Drone Magic

I arrived early to capture some beautiful drone shots of the venue – Oatlands Park offers the perfect backdrop for cinematic visuals. This is one of the advantages of booking an experienced Asian videographer: knowing when and where to grab the best footage before the action starts.

Once we locked in those aerial shots, I moved on to film the stunning décor. Credit where it’s due – Gayatri Weddings(@gayatriweddings) absolutely transformed the space with elegant florals, rich colours, and thoughtful design. Their work is always impeccable, and they’re a trusted name in the Asian wedding scene.

Bride Prep with Banter

Upstairs, the bride Bhumi was already radiating energy – full of jokes and good vibes even at this early hour. Whatever fuel she was running on, we all wanted some! She looked incredible, thanks to the talented team at @GayatriStyle, who handled her makeup and styling with finesse.

Here Comes the Groom – With a Bang!

No wedding is complete without the groom’s grand entrance – and Anish did not disappoint. Arriving with his entourage and the powerhouse dhol players from @beat_evolution, the energy hit another level. The beats echoed through Oatlands Park, and guests were instantly pulled into the excitement. As an Indian wedding videographer, these high-energy entrances are always a highlight to film!

A Meaningful Hindu Ceremony

The ceremony itself was expertly conducted by @pandit_ram_pandey, who made sure everyone – even those unfamiliar with the customs – felt engaged and part of the moment. Bhumi and Anish exchanged custom garlands designed by @theflowershack_uk – leaders in floral design for Indian weddings. Every detail was on point, and it was a joy to film such a beautiful and emotionally rich ceremony.

Couples Shoot & Plenty of Banter

After the ceremony, we teamed up with the super talented @karmakai_photography for the couples shoot. Bhumi and Anish were naturals in front of the camera. The key? Banter. It was flowing freely and made the session not just easy, but genuinely fun. Their chemistry and laughter made for authentic, stunning footage that we knew would look magical in their wedding film.

Reception Time – Let the Party Begin!

Fast forward to the part everyone was waiting for – the Reception. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by a hilarious sign that read:"Welcome to Bhumi's Reception ft. Anish."Not long after, someone flipped it over and scribbled:"Welcome to Anish's Reception" – pretty sure Anish had something to do with that!

The drinks reception was all about the vibes. Thanks to the expert planning by @array_events_, the couple had time to relax and connect with their guests before the formalities began. It’s always a bonus when the planning allows for these genuine interactions – we get to capture some of the most real and heartfelt moments during this time.

A DJ Who Delivered and Then Some

As the couple made their grand entrance, @nillsnillsnills took over and owned the night. From the moment he hit play, the dance floor was lit. He delivered every track on Bhumi and Anish’s playlist with precision – from their sentimental first dance to their crowd-pleasing party bangers. But he didn’t stop there – he kept the energy alive, reading the room perfectly and dropping hit after hit. It wasn’t just a party – it was a celebration.

By the end of the night, everyone was on their feet, and we had a mountain of incredible footage to work with. The joy, the culture, the connection – it all came together to create the kind of wedding film we love to produce as an Asian videographer in London.
